Tour Itinerary

Day 1:Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Mto wa Mbu

At the agreed time, we will meet you at your lodge in Arusha and drive straight to Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its large elephant population and giant Baobab trees. Tarangire River is a permanent source of water for the entire park, serving the wildlife. You may expect to spot lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, buffalos, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras. Bird life is abundant in this park with over 400 bird species recorded. Packed lunch will be served inside the park. Later you will drive to the village of Mto wa Mbu area for your overnight.

Day 2: Mto wa mbu - Serengeti National Park

Today, we head towards Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving these highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We drive to the central area of the park, known as Seronera, one of the richest wildlife habitats of the park. You will enjoy your lunch in the park, either a packed lunch at one of the picnic sites or a hot lunch in the accommodation of your choice. After a full day game drive, you will overnight in one of the accommodations in Seronera area.

Day 3:Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife, and if you like you can get up early to join an early morning game drive, in which case you will return to your accommodation for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. After a picnic lunch you will continue your journey towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your overnight.

Day 4:Ngorongoro Crater Tour and drive to Arusha

To make the most of this day, you will have an early start of the day to visit the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, with its own ecosystem, home to a wide variety of wildlife, which stays within the crater. You will descend into the Crater floor for a wonderful game drive (picnic lunch will be served at the crater floor). It is one of the few places where the black rhino can be observed in its natural habitat. The crater has about 2000 ft high walls and very few animals are migrating in and out of the Crater. You can expect to see lions, hyenas, jackals, elephants, zebras, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many bird species including flamingos. After lunch, you will leave the Crater early afternoon to drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening, and where your safari experience comes to an end.
