Having worked for over 10 years in the Tanzanian safari industry, Basili is happiest when travelling with his customers and giving them a unique and highly personal safari experience.
Over the years, he’s built a deep knowledge of Tanzania’s wildlife, nature, history and culture. Born and raised in the Karatu district, Basili can tell his guests with unbridled passion all they wish to know about the culture of the many tribes in Tanzania, especially his own Iraqw tribe, which lives predominately in their tribal homeland in the highland districts of Mbulu and Karatu.
His personal touch guarantees his customers an unparalleled travel experience, and memories they can cherish for the rest of their lives.
A hands-on and enthusiastic economist from the Netherlands, with 30 years of experience in (financial) communications and a deeply rooted love for Tanzania, Marjolein provides operational support to Ajubatus Safaris. Having traveled extensively through Tanzania, she’s happy to share her experience and enthusiasm for this beautiful East-African country with Ajubatus customers.
