This 4 day/3 night program is designed for a full four-day game drive, bringing you to Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. Serengeti National Park is considered to be a treasure of the world’s wildlife. You will be able to see resting lions, sneaking the secretive leopard, and graceful antelopes. Also, Serengeti National Park is famous and well-known for its annual Great Migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras. This safari starts and ends in Arusha.
Note: The price shown for this tour is an indicative price per person, based on 6 persons per car, and 3 double bedrooms. Your flights to and from Tanzania, or your travel to Arusha are not included. National flights are included where applicable. No rights can be derived from the prices mentioned on the website.
At the agreed time, we will meet you at your lodge in Arusha and drive straight to Tarangire National Park. This park is known for its large elephant population and giant Baobab trees. Tarangire River is a permanent source of water for the entire park, serving the wildlife. You may expect to spot lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, buffalos, giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras. Bird life is abundant in this park with over 400 bird species recorded. Packed lunch will be served inside the park. Later you will drive to the village of Mto wa Mbu area for your overnight.
Today, we head towards Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving these highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We drive to the central area of the park, known as Seronera, one of the richest wildlife habitats of the park. You will enjoy your lunch in the park, either a packed lunch at one of the picnic sites or a hot lunch in the accommodation of your choice. After a full day game drive, you will overnight in one of the accommodations in Seronera area.
Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife, and if you like you can get up early to join an early morning game drive, in which case you will return to your accommodation for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. After a picnic lunch you will continue your journey towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area for your overnight.
To make the most of this day, you will have an early start of the day to visit the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, with its own ecosystem, home to a wide variety of wildlife, which stays within the crater. You will descend into the Crater floor for a wonderful game drive (picnic lunch will be served at the crater floor). It is one of the few places where the black rhino can be observed in its natural habitat. The crater has about 2000 ft high walls and very few animals are migrating in and out of the Crater. You can expect to see lions, hyenas, jackals, elephants, zebras, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many bird species including flamingos. After lunch, you will leave the Crater early afternoon to drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening, and where your safari experience comes to an end.
